Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200)
Alysia’s yoga journey began more than 15 years ago and while her practice varied with changes in her life, she decided to make it a dedicated practice over 4 years ago when she realized it would be the key to recovering from a past traumatic event. Realizing that, she took an even deeper step in her self-healing and embarked upon a 200HR Yoga Teacher Training which she completed in March 2021. Alysia is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance.
Yoga is a science of self-realization which is the highest form of self-healing. It can teach one how to heal and strengthen the mind, body and spirit. Alysia’s pursuit to become a yoga teacher grew from her desire to share with others how healing, restorative and transformational yoga is regardless of age or fitness level. She hopes to encourage others to practice yoga not only “on the mat” but also “off the mat”. With the demands of today’s world, it can be difficult to quiet the mind and feel inner peace. Practicing yoga can be a pathway to finding that peace.
Alysia looks at each day as a continuous learning adventure and journey, all while observing the evolution to her highest Self. She believes that knowing yourself (Svadhyaya) is the path to freedom.
Alysia currently teaches yoga classes at Horizon Healing Center in Canton, Georgia and also provides private in-home sessions by appointment.
